Franklin, TN Teeth Whitening

A truly bright smile is always in fashion. But if you’ve noticed that your teeth aren’t as bright as they used to be, you’re not alone. No one is immune to the staining process that happens naturally as a result of eating and drinking daily.  The good news is that the brightness of your teeth can be restored. In fact, through dentist-supervised teeth whitening, you can achieve a smile that is far more white than your natural smile has ever been!

Teeth Whitening That Works

If you’ve already tried over-the-counter teeth whitening products, you can attest firsthand to their limited effectiveness. At best, a whitening toothpaste can only remove surface-level stains. Since the stains that cause most tooth discoloration reside deep within the dentin of the teeth, toothpaste alone can’t remove them. To make your smile truly bright, you’ll need a product containing peroxide—a bleaching agent—that stays on the teeth long enough to penetrate below the enamel.

The peroxide gels in over-the-counter whitening kits can do this, but with limited results. This is because they must contain a concentration of peroxide low enough to be used at home without dentist supervision. And a gel with a low concentration of peroxide simply doesn’t have as much bleaching power as one with a higher concentration.

Under Dr. Weber’s care, you can enjoy the freedom to brighten your smile effectively using our convenient at-home teeth whitening solution.

Our Process

Our solution involves applying a peroxide gel—a gel stronger than anything you can buy over the counter—to the inside of a clear plastic tray which fits directly over your teeth. When worn for at least 20 minutes a day for at least 2-4 weeks, the result is remarkable: a smile just as white as if it had been brightened through laser bleaching.

This process begins with an exam by Dr. Weber to ensure that your teeth are healthy enough to begin whitening treatment. He will verify that there are no leaky fillings, tooth sensitivities, or underlying conditions that could lead to irritation by the peroxide gel. If there are any health concerns, Dr. Weber will address them before beginning treatment.

The next step is making a custom tray for you. We will take a digital impression of your teeth, and from that we will make a tray that fits you snugly. This tray will hold the whitening gel. You will be instructed on how long to wear it each day, and our office will schedule a follow-up appointment for you so that Dr. Weber can check for and resolve any arising tooth sensitivity or irritation concerns.

To get started, call the office at (615) 794-2444 to schedule an appointment for a dental exam with Dr. Weber. You can also request an appointment online to receive a call from our office for scheduling.
