Porcelain Veneers
A porcelain veneer is a thin porcelain casing bonded directly to the tooth, as shown in the image to the left. A seamless fit often requires preparing the teeth by shaving off a thin layer of the surface of each tooth. And in some cases, Dr. Weber is able to utilize ultrathin veneers that require no tooth preparation at all.

The Process
Your smile makeover process begins at your first appointment with Dr. Weber, when you will have the opportunity to discuss your vision for your new smile. We welcome you to bring in photos that convey your ideal look. At this time, Dr. Weber will also capture facial photos and complete a digital scan to gather the information needed to design a smile tailored to your own unique facial aesthetics. Using computer imaging, he will then apply the new design to a photo of you so that you can begin to visualize how your new smile will look on you!
It you approve of the design he has created, at your next appointment, your teeth will be prepared, if needed, for the future bonding of your porcelain veneers. Before you leave, Dr. Weber will apply your provisional veneers, which are replicas produced in our office by a 3D printer. These will allow you to take your new smile for a test drive while you wait for your porcelain veneers to return from the lab where they are custom-crafted. Dr. Weber will then ask for your feedback and will make any changes needed to achieve your ideal look. When you are completely happy with their appearance, he will take an optical scan of the provisional smile and ask his master ceramist to re-create that look in porcelain.
Once they return, you get to try them on! And when you are absolutely sure that you love your veneers, Dr. Weber will bond them to your teeth.

At the try-in, because of the care Dr. Weber has taken in the design, you will most likely be thrilled with how they look and he will bond them on. But if you aren’t, he will make any needed changes. If necessary, he will send the veneers back to the ceramist for modification or even re-making. His beautiful smile guarantee means that he will not bond them on unless you love them.
