Can an Ultrasonic Scaler Fracture Veneers?

I had porcelain veneers placed. I recently had a cleaning done. The hygienist used a magnetostrictive ultrasonic cleaner. The next day, two of the veneers fractured. Can an ultrasoic cleaner do this?
